Event-Based Supply Chain Network Modeling: Blockchain for Good Coffee

چکیده
Blockchain and distributed ledger technology (BC/DLT) provides databases with decentralized governance, tamper-proof recording, high availability non-copyable digital assets, which have made it a natural technological basis for supply chain management. In this paper, we introduce REALISTIC, novel event-based modeling framework networks (SCNs) that includes production processes . It extends McCarty’s Resources-Events-Agents (REA) accounting model secure transformations , which, across the entire SCN, guarantee certified output resources cannot be digitally produced ex nihilo but require input of at least same amount as what is produced. This generalizes no-double-spend current BC/DLT to (digital twins of) physical their production. Authenticated human or robotic Internet Things (IoT) actors sign cryptographically commit veracity real-world events on an immutable database, without having take responsibility aggregate consequences. User-specifiable interpretations, corresponding queries analytical functions in database systems, provide auditable information computed from recorded SCN. fine-grained trustworthy tracing final products through multiple stages processes, semi-finished products, quality certifications transportation all way back raw materials. We present case study end-to-end coffee tracks detailed farmer’s cherries retail bags, involving its actors. Our handles product provenance; sustainability, trade information; parchment via green roasted coffee; tests; farmer certifications; chain. based field work farmers, cooperatives, processors, traders, importers, major roasting company stretching Colombia Scandinavia. Scenario-based Supply Chain Network risk modeling
This paper provides a risk modeling approach for Supply Chain Networks (SCNs) operating under uncertainty. It recognizes three event types to characterize the future SCN environment: random, hazardous and deeply uncertain events. A three-phase hazard modeling approach is proposed. It involves a characterization of SCN hazards in terms of multihazards, vulnerability sources and exposure levels, ...
متن کاملDigital Supply Chain Transformation toward Blockchain Integration
Digital supply chain integration is becoming increasingly dynamic. Access to customer demand needs to be shared effectively, and product and service deliveries must be tracked to provide visibility in the supply chain. Business process integration is based on standards and reference architectures, which should offer end-to-end integration of product data. Companies operating in supply chains es...
متن کاملA conceptual modeling approach for supply chain event management (SCEM)
The management of supply chains is a very comprehensive task. Predictability and response to incidents in process executions are challenging. With Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM), researchers propose an approach for overcoming these problems through proactive monitoring and notification of crucial process activities across the supply chain. The identification and definition of such crucial...
متن کاملA formal modeling approach for supply chain event management
As supply chains become more dynamic it is important to be able to model them formally as business processes. In particular, there is a need for a sense and respond capability to react to events in a real-time manner. In this paper, we propose time Petri nets as a formalism for doing so. Hence, we describe seven basic patterns that are used to capture modeling concepts that arise commonly in su...
